Fatima is a Senior Project Manager with over 10 years of experience in consenting, design, and delivery of major UK infrastructure, including Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects, renewable energy, 132kV distribution networks, and major highways. Her expertise includes project management and controls, front-end design development, and complex stakeholder engagement.
With a civil engineering background, Fatima began her career designing highways and sustainable public realm projects, establishing a strong foundation for infrastructure design and delivery. More recently, she has led the development of 132kV grid infrastructure, overseeing overhead lines, underground cables, and substations from FEED to construction planning.
Fatima has managed several NSIPs, taking the projects through the DCO regime. Working across the full project lifecycle, she has also led environmental impact assessments and public consultation strategy. A key part of her role has been leading design collaboration in response to public feedback and consultation, working closely with engineering and environmental teams to refine design proposals as schemes develop. She has experience in shaping EIA mitigation for projects in sensitive rural areas, balancing technical and cost considerations against environmental considerations to develop cost-effective and technically feasible solutions.
Fatima is a confident communicator who is highly skilled at managing multidisciplinary teams across engineering, environmental, planning and legal disciplines. She has particular expertise in engaging directly with elected representatives, understanding constituency priorities for major projects, and maintaining the ongoing dialogue needed to keep stakeholders engaged throughout development.
Fatima demonstrates strong commercial and programme discipline, having managed a diverse range of multi-million-pound projects. Furthermore, she is skilled at bringing structure to complex programmes, managing competing priorities and keeping projects moving through periods of uncertainty.
