Ann is a Civil Engineer, Project Manager and a Senior Consultant on contract and commercial matters. She is a Incorporated Member of the Institute of Civil Engineers, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a Member of the Academy of Experts.
She has over ten years’ of construction industry experience, where she has held various positions on both Client and Contractor side. This has allowed Ann to attain an extremely broad knowledge of all aspects of the industry such as civils design, project management, quantity surveying and claims for both time and quantum. Ann has led a team of Design Engineers and served as the lead Design Engineer on projects exceeding $200 million. She has been appointed as Contract Administrator projects ranging from £100k to £4m under all of the prominent standard forms of contract. Ann is an expert user of the New Engineering Contract (NEC3/4) Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC), and an NEC4 Accredited Project Manager.
Ann is proficient in all aspects of contract and commercial management, including negotiation, risk assessment, claim compilation and conflict resolution. She has worked as an Associate Delay Expert, assisting in the preparation of quantum and extension of time claims. This experience enables Ann to quickly distil contract issues, determine cause and effect and evaluate the legitimacy of contract claims. Ann is well-versed in contract law, breaches of contract and the various forms of redress. Ann enjoys using her rounded industry experience and contracts specialism to lecture at the College of Contract Management.
Academically, Ann has Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, a Master of Science Degree in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution and a Diploma in Business Administration and Management. She is currently studying both a Doctorate in Law and Construction Disputes as well as the Solicitors Qualification Exams.
Ann is a member of The Society of Legal Scholars, the Law Society of Ireland, the Society of Construction Law and the Adjudication Society.
