High Voltage Project Design

High Voltage Project Design

A comprehensive feasibility and design process is essential to the delivery of effective whole life-cycle asset interventions and for future expansion and flexibility. Inadequacies in project design inevitably lead to increased costs in the delivery phase.

Our Design Engineers are experienced in the full range of engineering activities, including primary and secondary electrical, power system, civil, structure and mechanical design.

Our team has a vast amount of experience in the development of major electricity infrastructure projects on both the transmission and distribution networks. Rowfield’s Design Engineers are Incorporated Engineers (IEng) or Charted Engineers (CEng), and members of relevant professional bodies i.e. Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET), Institution of Structural Engineers (MIStructE), and the Institution of Civil Engineers (MICE).

We have experience of undertaking design of transmission and distribution substations, from 11kV to 400kV using both air insulated and gas insulated switchgear. We also have experience in transmission level overhead line design as well as marine HVDC and onshore HVAC cable design.

Our team is highly experienced having worked with clients such as National Grid, Scottish and Southern Energy and UK Power Networks.
